I’m back.

I guess I should start blogging again, seeing how I stopped on Daniel’s for no apparent reason. So whats new?

I’m currently working on the Sussex Video Gaming Society webpage, so be sure to check that out over the next few days.

Thanks to the miracle of Dell monitors and converters, I now have my Wii plugged into my primary monitor with sound going into my PC’s Line in. This provides the miracle that is custom soundtracks to Wii games (if it has a ‘disable the awful j-pop music’ button) as well as Picture-in-Picture on my monitor. This also means I can do a bizarre phenominon called “productive gaming”, where I can both game and work at the same time. Sort of.

Other boring news includes hosting a mirror of the tasvideos modified emulators page created by JXQ. Any more links crammed into that sentence would likely cause a brain spasm.

Posting for Daniel

For some unexplained reason I’ve decided to start posting for Daniel. Perhaps I find it easier to express myself when its not just me posting, I don’t know. If you’re interested, I’m going to paste a big fat link here to his website. Of course if its untimely demise occurs, I can always come right back here and continue posting.

X360: Sonic the Hedgehog

Crackdown was good. I finished it but have got a few acheivements to unlock. Sonic the Hedgehog is not so good.

I’m telling you, its boring. The plot makes so little sense. controls are fiddly. Camera is awful. Lots of pits to fall down. And those are the best parts of the game.

The worst part of all is loading times. I mean cmon, a 20 second loading time, then some character says an unvoiced line of text, then 20 more seconds. Then you do whatever he/she asks, 20 more seconds, they say something else, 20 seconds, etc. Its enough to make a grown man scream.

Hopefully playing as Silver will be fun, but I’m not getting my hopes up.

X360: Crackdown

So I had a quick play (2-3 hours) of Crackdown today. I know its been out a while but we only recently got an X360.

I love it. At the moment anyway

The good parts? Almost everything. You can upgrade yourself to jump around 30-40 feet in the air, run as fast as most cars, throw cars, shoot enemies in the head with a pistol in 2 seconds of noticing them from 50 feet away, perform insane manouvers in super cars and more. The upgrading part is one of my most favourite features.

The bat parts? The locking on system. If theres an enemy and a car right next to him, rather than shoot the gas tank of the car by locking on, I have to aim manually because it insists on locking onto the enemy. This annoys me greatly, but I think is my only annoyance. The rest is superb.

I’ll probably write more about any other games I play but right now this is on my “awesome games” list.

Creative Block… Maybe.

I’ve been a busy guy with college, and I’ve been tired. I also have had no motivation to do anything to blog and not much I want to really write about (or not enough for single blog posts).

As such, do not expect blog posts until at most around September, and at least around mid-July. This may be the last until then.

Okay, below are various shorties that I feel I should mention. Heroes. Heroes is a brilliant show. If you haven’t watched it you must. You’ll be pleasantly suprised. Its written so well.

Season 7 of Scrubs was confirmed a while back. I’m not sure whether this is good news or not. I wouldn’t have minded if it ended with a nice closing, but I guess they’ll do that in 7 now.

Last.fm is good. I don’t mind sharing my musical history with people, and it provides good stats and recommendations. And you can find people with similar tastes and talk to them. Good stuff.

College is almost done. Just a few more things to do and then its summer and then Uni. To be honest, I’m not really that excited/nervous/worried. I’m just me right now. I’m sure it’ll all kick in eventually.

Oh, and my birthday is coming up soon (18) yet as usual I don’t know what I want. This happens every year so I’m sure something will come to mind. Its either going to be nerdy stuff like Laptop RAM and accessories, or its going to be gamery stuff like X360 premium and games. Tune in 22 days after this message to see if I can be bothered to write what I decided upon!

Think thats about it.

Daniel Needs Less Coke(a-cola)

By Scan
People | Saturday, May 19th, 2007

In response to Daniel’s bad mood(s) I feel I have found the culprit. No its not the wonderful county of Kent. It is in fact the ultra-sugary drink known as Coca Cola.

Taken from the Coca Cola website:
Coke CanGDA for Coke

As you can clearly see, one can of coke is the equivalent to 29% of the Guided Daily Allowance. For a whole day. Meanwhile, Daniel has at least 3 cans of coke a day. This means that from Coke alone he is getting 87% of his sugar a day. Excluding other foods.

The sugar itself is causing not only a severe energy enduced flame attack on everyone around him, but is putting him into a twitching rage. The caffeine in every can of coke ensures he has an addiction to it, putting him in a cranky/bad mood when he doesn’t have enough.

In conclusion. Daniel drinks coke, he gets flamey and irrational. Daniel doesn’t drink enough coke, he gets irritable and proceeds to troll. We must find a solution to Daniel’s poor problem, before his anger consumes him like a fire consuming a paper ball.

The Logic of Cows Defeated by Toast.

Welcome to Bluetoaster. Unfortunately, due to Daniel’s lust for money and power, cowlogic is going down. while Daniel is a captain going down with his ship, Jamie and I have abandoned the logical cow, and set up a blog on bluetoaster instead. Expect modestly frequent updates and none of Daniel’s flaming.

Hopefully Jamie might post too.
